Commercial Meter FAQs - View FAQ's

Gibsons is fortunate enough to have a clean fresh water supply; as a requirement of the Town’s operating permit, Vancouver Coastal Health requires the installation of backflow prevention devices on all water service connections in order to protect this water.  The Town of Gibsons Bylaw No. 1090, Water Service and Connection Bylaw, requires owners of Industrial, Commercial and Institutional (ICI) properties to install water meters and backflow prevention devices on their water service, enabling the Town's water system to continue to meet rigorous provincial standards without adding chlorine to the Town water supply.

The following can be printed off in PDF format for your reference.

1. Required Water Meter and Backflow Prevention Installation Letter

2. Mandatory Premise Isolation Table

3. Backflow Prevention Device Test Report

4. Meter Specification

5. Installation Form
