Gerry graduated from Royal Military College as an Electrical Professional Engineer in 1965. After serving with the RCAF for five years he joined BC Tel as an Engineering Manager, and retired in 1997.
Since moving to Gibsons in 1992, Gerry volunteered for: Citizens on Patrol; Gibsons Area Community Centre Society; Gibsons Economic Development Partnership, various Town Committees, the Gibsons Waterfront Initiative and the Sunshine Coast Report Card for a Healthy Community and served as a Councillor for the term 2005 to 2008 and most recently became a member of the Board of the Sunshine Coast Community Foundation.
