Parks and Cultural Services Department

Parks, trails, arts, athletics, culture, heritage, environment, outdoor recreation … it’s yours to discover! The Parks and Cultural Services Department contributes to the quality of life and personal wellness of the community through the provision of a variety of special events, programs, services and facilities.

The perfect setting for any occasion, Gibsons’ naturally scenic, award winning parks and open spaces feature breathtaking views, along with a place to socialize, relax and recreate.  The fresh air of the mild seaside climate, combined with healthy lifestyle services and environmental practises, a variety of recreational opportunities and cultural venues, within well over the national average number of parks and open spaces per capita to enjoy, presents an opportunity for everyone’s tastes and abilities.

Park Notices

To preserve the turf, the playing fields at Brothers Park are closed during extremely wet conditions.

Park Bookings for Events

Community based, not for profit organizations provide a significant proportion of the social, cultural and recreational pursuits within Gibsons.  The Parks and Cultural Services Department provides support and assistance to these organizations as needed.
