35 members assigned to the Sunshine Coast RCMP
3 Traffic Service members stationed out of Sechelt, but assigned to and under the direction of the Sea-to-Sky Traffic Services in Squamish, B.C.
AREA POLICED:
All areas between Port Mellon and Earls Cove. In addition to these land based communities the Sunshine Coast RCMP polices marine access areas/communities: Jervis Inlet, Sechelt Inlet, Nelson Island, Thormanby Island, Keats Island, McNabb Creek and Gambier Island.
PROGRAMS:
The Sunshine Coast RCMP currently participate in the following programs:
- Auxiliary Constable Program
- Bike Patrol – Seasonal;
- Boat Patrols;
- DARE;
- Restorative Justice Program;
- Citizens on Patrol (COPS);
- Crimestoppers; and,
- Victim Services.
