The Parks & Community Services Committee is a standing committee of Council that examines, reviews and makes recommendations to Council on issues related to parks development and maintenance, as well as the socio economic health and well being of the community. The public will have opportunity to discuss issues of concern with the Committee through the regular process of delegations and petitions at committee meetings.  The Committee will make recommendations and draft resolutions for consideration by Council regarding the following issues: Parks Maintenance/Development: Trail Maintenance, Cultural Services, Community Events, To promote positive approaches to social economic challenges in the community , To foster and encourage public awareness of social issues, To monitor services, programs and facilities to maximize participation be citizens, To hear and respond to requests made by the public regarding issues concerning: Youth and elderly of the community, Persons with disabilities, Health of the community, Housing and employment, To research and advocate or refer issues determined by Committee members based on resources available.
