Propane Tank Reuse Program In the past, propane tanks received at the Sechelt and Pender Harbour Landfills were decommissioned and recycled as scrap metal. Propane tanks collected at landfills will be picked up by Tank 4 Tank Services Ltd. and refurbished into new propane tanks. This program will provide a higher level of benefit through reuse vs. recycling. Tipping fees for propane tanks and scrap metal is $65 per tonne. Camping-size propane tanks can be dropped off as well and you don't have to pay the $2 fee like you do for the larger BBQ ones.
